  •  The client was one of the most popular comedy sites on the web, owned by IAC / InterActiveCorp.
  •  The objective was to streamline & enhance their production, development and QA      environments.

CHALLANGES - 

  • Multiple sites operating under IAC umbrella on a variety of different platforms.
  • Distributed infrastructure: On-premises, Third-Party Data Center, Public Cloud.
  • No standardization or configuration management, leading to inconsistencies across different environments.

SOLUTIONS - 

  • Collaboration with stakeholders to determine immediate pain points and priorities.
  • Development of DevOps standards; streamlining of environments with Chef Opscode and standard tools.
  •  Instituted ticketing and web-based documentation/knowledge repository for standard procedures.

  • Collaboration with DevOps team to re-architect Dev/QA environments on the AWS cloud. Creation of a plan to migrate all other media properties to the cloud.
